Funerals
A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. This can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in either a church or crematorium.
The most important first step is to choose your funeral director, who will make all of the arrangements for you and make initial contact with the church on your behalf.
Funerals in our parish tend to be taken by our Rector, Reverend Cate Turner, who will arrange a meeting with you beforehand to explain the service and help you to choose hymns, readings and music.
