Blessing of the Plough

St Nicholas' Church, North Grimston

You are very welcome to join us for this traditional service to mark the start of the farming year. During our communion service, the plough is brought to the main part of the church and God's blessing called upon the land and all those who farm upon it.

In these times of uncertainty, it is an opportunity to keep one of the ancient traditions kept by our rural ancestors.
