GENERAL SYNOD ELECTIONS
Towards the end of September elections will be held for members of the House of Laity on General Synod.
General Synod brings together bishops, clergy and lay people from every diocese.
It makes decisions on worship, doctrine and legislation, considers the Church's finances, and debates important social, moral and national issues. Those elected are expected to contribute thoughtfully to these discussions and represent the people who elect them.
Any lay person can stand for election to the House of Laity if they are over 18, a member of the Church of England, and on the Electoral Roll of a parish, mission initiative or cathedral.
If you are interested in standing for election, more information is available

EMAIL UPDATE SERVICE
We offer a weekly email service which provides a copy of the forthcoming week's pewsheet and any other relevant news. There is also the option to receive "emergency" emails should we have to cancel an event at short notice for example. This also gives updates during periods of heavy snow.
In the event of services being changed or cancelled due to weather, an update will also be added to the front page of this website at 8am.
If you would like to receive either, or both emails, please use the Contact Us form HERE and indicate whether you wish to receive 'news' or 'emergency' and we will add you to the list. You can stop receiving the emails by simply telling us.
